Security Officer Per Diem - Remote

Overview

The Security Officer Per Diem at North Shore Medical Center is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, employees, and assets. This role involves a commitment to diversity and inclusion within the healthcare setting.

In Short

• Perform security duties to ensure safety on the property.
• Report to the Security Supervisor.
• Assist in lifting patients and restraining individuals when necessary.
• Communicate effectively and utilize de-escalation skills.
• Complete restraint and de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid training required within the first week of hire.
• Preferred: Associate degree in relevant fields.
• Preferred: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military.

Requirements

• Familiarity with regulations and enforcement statutes.
• Effective communication and rapport-building skills.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to physically restrain individuals when necessary.
• Basic computer skills.
• Completion of training within specified timeframes.
