Overview

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) works under the direction of licensed personnel to assist patients with daily living activities and vital sign monitoring, contributing to exceptional patient care at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Document patient information in medical records.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.
• 1-2 years of experience in patient care preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
