Patient Care Assistant - Remote

Overview

The Patient Care Assistant will provide essential support to patients in the General Medicine and RACU units, ensuring their comfort and assisting with daily living activities under the supervision of licensed personnel.

In Short

• Assists patients with daily living activities.
• Performs vital signs and documentation accurately.
• Interacts effectively with patients and families.
• Floats between two units: Bigelow 9 General Medicine and Bigelow 13 RACU.
• Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in patient care preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
