Overview

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) works under the direction of licensed personnel to assist patients with their daily living activities and basic healthcare needs.

• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.
• Experience in patient care or elder care (1-2 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
