Patient Care Assistant - Emergency Department - Remote

Overview

The Patient Care Assistant will work in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit, assisting registered nurses in providing care to patients requiring short-term stays.

In Short

• Assist RNs with patient care tasks including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Transport patients and assist with dressing and feeding.
• Respond to patient requests in a timely manner.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and monitor patient safety.
• Work a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.

Requirements

• Licensed, certified, or enrolled in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT program.
• Must have recent experience or training in clinical patient care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and transport patients safely.
• Must demonstrate effective customer service orientation.
