Patient Care Assistant (Per Diem) - Remote

Overview

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) provides clinical support functions under the direction of a registered nurse, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment for patient care.

In Short

• Assist in performing patient care-related duties.
• Document vital signs and other patient information.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked and cleaned.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as feeding and ambulation.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient conditions.
• Perform specimen collection and document appropriately.
• Retrieve and set up medical equipment as needed.
• Maintain a compassionate and safe care environment.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Must hold a BLS Certification and preferably a Nursing Assistant credential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of healthcare experience required.
• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and transport patients safely.
