Mental Health Specialist (Per Diem) - Remote

Overview

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) provides direct care to patients in the inpatient psychiatric units at Mass General Brigham Salem Hospital, participating in patient admissions and providing therapeutic support.

In Short

• Provide direct mental health intervention to patients.
• Coordinate individual cases with a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in patient admissions and daily meetings.
• Assist patients with basic ADL needs.
• Provide behavioral interventions for patient management.
• Participate in group programming and lead therapy sessions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of related experience accepted in lieu of diploma.
• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health or Human Services preferred.
• Completion of restraint and de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of AVADE Training.
