Mammographer - Per Diem - Remote

Overview

The Mammographer is responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography exams at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

In Short

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms using tomosynthesis and 3D imaging technology.
• Operate mammographic equipment and ensure proper exposure.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and obtain additional images as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Work variable hours from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Must have a High School Diploma; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Requires 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Must hold Radiologic Technologist license in NH.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in mammography.
• Radiologic Technologist license in New Hampshire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to accommodate patients with disabilities.
• Knowledge of age-related patient needs.
