Fitness Instructor - Remote

Overview

The Fitness Instructor provides quality customer service, guidance, motivation, and supervision to all members and their guests with their fitness programs at Mass General Brigham.

In Short

• Provide orientation and develop exercise programs for new members.
• Monitor member usage of fitness equipment.
• Advise on exercise and nutrition.
• Enforce club policies and procedures.
• Track member progress and maintain accurate files.
• Perform pool testing and assist in maintenance.
• Conduct club tours for prospective members.
• Promote personal training and group exercise programs.
• Maintain cleanliness on the fitness floor.
• Lead monthly workshops during shifts.

Requirements

• Accredited certification with NASM, ACSM, ACE, or NSCA.
• CPR AED certification required.
• Minimum one year of experience in the fitness industry.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of health, nutrition, and fitness trends.
• Ability to develop individualized exercise programs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to enforce safety and injury prevention policies.
• Willingness to work part-time hours.
• Ability to perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
