Overview

The ESOL Instructor at JVS is responsible for developing and delivering English language instruction to adult learners, focusing on job readiness and skills enhancement.

• Develop and modify ESOL curriculum and lesson plans.
• Deliver training and evaluate student progress.
• Track outcomes and create reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners.
• Incorporate workplace materials into lessons.
• Manage classroom volunteers and student assignments.

• Assist with program planning and implementation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of ESOL teaching experience preferred.
• Strong presentation and classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of clients.
• BS or BA in Education or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of directly related experience or equivalent qualifications.
