Overview

The Animal Care Specialist assists in the daily operation of the Animal Facility, focusing on the care and feeding of animals used in experiments.

• Implement sterile techniques using a barrier microisolator cage system.
• Track animal health and notify supervisors of observations.
• Maintain records of animal mortalities and inventory.
• Report facility and environmental issues to supervisors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of previous experience with animals preferred.
• Detail-oriented and good multitasking skills.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods.
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
