Overview

The Diesel Fleet Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of trucks and equipment, ensuring vehicles are ready for service.

In Short

• Work in Monroe, CT shop and support remote yard in Stamford, CT.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including air brakes and electrical systems.
• Respond to road calls and breakdowns.
• Utilize Fleet Management Software for repairs and maintenance documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on various vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Must work independently and interact with customers.
• Must have own tools and valid CDL.
• Overnight work may be required.

Requirements

• 5+ years in fleet or transportation industry experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record.
• Experience with fleet management software preferred.

• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
