Purchasing Clerk - Remote

Overview

The Purchasing Clerk at William Osler Health System is responsible for managing procurement activities for hospital clients while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

In Short

• Process purchase orders with high attention to detail.
• Expedite follow-ups on orders with vendors and end-users.
• Provide excellent customer service to hospital stakeholders.
• Resolve discrepancies and exceptions in procurement processes.
• Assist users in finding suppliers or products.
• Manage returns and recalls of goods.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Assist with training on materials management systems.
• Promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Handle additional projects as required.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a purchasing or finance department.
• Post-secondary education in supply chain management or business administration.
• Membership in Purchasing Management Association of Canada is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Knowledge of Meditech materials management is an asset.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Willingness to travel between Osler sites.
