Software Engineer, Notifications - Remote

• Growth engineers at Whatnot have big ownership and velocity to impact the company top-line metrics.
• This is a critical role on the notifications team, architecting complex systems to send the right message to the right user at the right time, at scale.
• Team members are required to be within commuting distance of our San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA hubs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience in high growth startups.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience building scalable systems (primarily using Python, Elixir, JavaScript).
• Excellent product instincts, focusing on users rather than just technical solutions.
• Experience working on notifications or messaging systems is a plus.
