The Irish Linguist plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality translation and localization services by performing quality control and on-demand translation tasks while adhering to project deadlines and quality standards.

In Short

• Perform copy-edit tasks on Gaelic projects.
• Conduct on-demand translation tasks.
• Manage language materials to meet quality standards.

Requirements

• University degree in Translation or Applied Languages.
• 3+ years of experience in translation/localization.
• Native fluency in Gaelic and English.
• Thorough understanding of the localization process.
• Experience with standard software and CAT tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in providing constructive feedback.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual team.
• Willingness to train and teach others.
