Medical Scribe - Remote

Overview

The Medical Scribe at Oak Street Health supports primary care providers with clinical documentation, allowing them to focus on providing exceptional patient care.

In Short

• Document patient encounters in real time.
• Assist providers in clinical documentation and care management.
• Join providers in exam rooms to observe and document visits.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries and assign appropriate codes.
• Consult with providers on documentation opportunities.
• Support daily huddles and clinical documentation reviews.
• Perform administrative support tasks for the care team.
• Commit to at least 1-2 years in the role.
• Work approximately 40-45 hours per week.
• Compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other community languages required where indicated.
• Ability to adapt to new workflows.
• Self-starter with excellent attendance.
• US work authorization required.
• Ability to work in-person in clinics.
• Commitment to the role for at least 1 year.
