Overview

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. In this internship, you will contribute to projects that are changing the landscape of financial services for Canadians while gaining valuable experience in the fintech industry.

In Short

• Support testing and evaluation of internal processes, risks, and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Participate in audit planning and coordination efforts.
• Learn to identify and assess risks, controls, and deficiencies.
• Assist in the preparation of process narratives and flowcharts.
• Prepare internal controls recommendations and remediation plans.
• Gain insights into the fintech industry and asset management.
• Work in a hybrid model, with in-person collaboration on specific days.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of auditing principles and concepts.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Passionate about technology, specifically fintech.
• Demonstrated interest in accounting, finance, and analytics.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
