Financial Analyst FP&A - Remote

Overview

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. In this role, you will assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts, and monthly rolling forecasts, supporting the streamlining of the budgeting process.

In Short

• Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Work with business units to gather inputs for expense forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis on actuals to forecast.
• Support financial reporting during month-end close.
• Assist in preparation of materials for external board reporting.
• Provide assistance on ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a financial or analytical role.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning software is a plus.
• Experience with data analysis and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with SQL and ability to build basic queries.
• Prior experience in financial institutions is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
