Overview

The Controller will oversee all accounting operations at Wealth Enhancement Group, ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

• Oversee all accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Drive accounting results and lead a team of 25+ members.
• Coordinate monthly close timing and establish KPIs.
• Oversee external financial audits and maintain relationships with auditors.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting and internal controls.
• Promote continuous improvement within the accounting department.
• Manage M&A accounting processes and firm integration.
• Provide professional development opportunities for the accounting team.
• Participate in open compensation discussions with potential candidates.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting required; MBA/CMA/CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in a related role required.
• Experience in a broker-dealer or financial services organization preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience coaching and developing accounting professionals.
• Ability to manage sensitive information effectively.
• Experience with financial audits and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of GL systems, particularly Workday, preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
