Remote Audio Assistant (A2) for Live Studio Productions

Overview

The Remote A2 (Audio Assist) will work closely with the Audio Engineer to ensure the technical audio needs of remote productions are met, providing support and leadership during live events.

In Short

• Act as the main audio contact when the A1 is unavailable.
• Collaborate with the Audio Engineer to set up and troubleshoot audio equipment.
• Monitor audio signal flow and make adjustments as necessary during productions.
• Lead and coordinate tasks among A2s at the site.
• Ensure all audio equipment is returned in working order post-production.
• Possess strong knowledge of audio signal flow and RF systems.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Handle pressures of live programming effectively.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with team members.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities.

Requirements

• 5 - 7 years of experience in network level broadcast production.
• In-depth knowledge of audio equipment and production standards.
• Proficient in microphone applications and setups.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage live programming pressures.
• Preferred knowledge of new audio technologies.
