In Short

  • Develop large-scale and efficient inference solutions for Waymo.
  • Focus on the development of Waymo Foundation Models for driving.
  • Work on evaluation, auto-labeling, and distillation.
  • Collaborate with Research and Production teams.
  • Offer best-in-class solutions for the model development lifecycle.
  • Optimize scalable inference platforms for real-time and batch processing.
  • Use profiling tools to uncover performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in software development projects using C++ or Python.
  • Deploy solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Report to an Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
  • Experience with popular ML frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Practical familiarity using profiling tools.
  • Experience in software development using C++ or Python.
