Overview

The Software Quality Operations (SWQOps) team ensures the safety, reliability, and quality of the Waymo Driver, playing a critical role in Waymo's expansion into new cities.

In Short

  • Support the development of automated machine learning systems for Waymo Driver.
  • De-risk new deployments through meticulous monitoring and triage of driving events.
  • Enable market expansion by providing data analysis and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance performance and issue discovery.
  • Design and implement quality control processes for AI-generated outputs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Software Quality Operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and consultation to enhance workflows.
  • Leverage AI insights to identify emerging on-road issues.
  • Document policies and procedures integrating AI tools into workflows.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining good judgment.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or 4 years of relevant experience in AV Software Quality Operations.
  • Competency in all phases of the machine learning development lifecycle.
  • Experience with ML testing and validation.
  • Strong understanding of driving rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
