Product Manager - Risk - Remote

Overview

The goal of the Risk product team is to reduce Wave’s Risk profile through our product, mainly focused on anti-fraud measures and our user identity verification strategy.

In Short

• Own our key user scam and product abuse metrics.
• Own the product roadmap to improve user security.
• Lead a team of engineers and data analysts.
• Develop new user-facing security features.
• Improve core login and account recovery flows.
• Develop machine learning models to detect scams.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to catch new scam patterns.
• Run A/B tests for new features.
• Be a company-wide expert on risk management.

Requirements

• 4+ years product management experience.
• Exposure to identity, fraud, or fraud adjacent products.
• Highly metrics and data driven.
• Good intuition for bad actors' operations.
• Investigative mindset with SQL skills.
• Ability to balance user security with user experience.
• Bonus: Experience in West African markets.
