Technical Product Manager - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the intersection between technology and product, loves to get in the weeds with engineers about what they’re building, and who is looking to work in a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive environment.

A Technical Product Manager at VTEX bridges the gap between engineering and product strategy, defines guidelines for shipping technical products and technical requirements, prioritizes features, and manages the product lifecycle.

In Short

• Create a long-term reliability strategy for a company;
• Prioritize which reliability investments have the highest impact on customers;
• Partner with engineering and product leads to build product roadmaps for SRE;
• Create a long-term strategy for observability and tooling investments, including managing vendor relationships;
• Manage the roadmap planning balancing short-term enhancements with long-term strategic goals and ensuring the team is focused on the most impactful activities;
• Champion reliability ownership across non-SRE teams and enable them to account for & track the reliability of the services they’re responsible for;
• Make Build Vs. Buy decisions;
• Define reliability targets and report on performance from the perspective of customers expectations.

Requirements

• Experience as a Senior Technical Product Manager;
• Knowledge of SRE best practices and tools, like AWS, Kubernetes,etc;
• Familiarity with coding and programming logic;
• A passion for conducting industry research and advocating for technical best practices;
• Familiarity with Github or other modern CI/CD systems;
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Cloudwatch, Datadog, ELK, and New Relic, and the ability to sift through systems data and technical logs;
• Excitement to test, build, and evangelize new technologies that solve problems for the SRE team and the wider organization;
• Fluent in English.
