Overview

The Senior Software Engineer - Data will lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines, enhancing platform performance and reliability in a fully remote environment.

In Short

• Integrate data from Pismo's Banking as a Service/Payments platform.
• Design and develop robust data pipelines using Big Data frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement in performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and best practices for production operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on high-complexity data features.
• Mentor peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotations for production incidents.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data.
• Maintain data governance and platform standards.
• Introduce new technologies to accelerate development cycles.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Golang.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS Services (Lambda, SQS, S3).
• 2+ years of experience with Terraform.
• Experience in building streaming applications/data platforms.
• Python experience is desirable.
