Data Scientist (Data & AI Engineer) - Remote

Overview

This role involves making data available from new sources, building robust data models, creating and optimizing data enrichment pipelines, and providing engineering support to specific projects within Visa's Client Services BI & Analytics team.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure seamless data flow.
• Establish data processes and automation based on business and technology requirements.
• Deliver data engineering and Machine Learning projects individually or as part of a team.
• Setup ML Ops pipelines to productionalize ML models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality.
• Provide expertise in data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling.
• Extract and manipulate large datasets using tools like Hadoop, Spark, and SQL.
• Develop data solutions using Agile principles.
• Stay updated with the latest data engineering trends and technologies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years with an Advanced Degree.
• Strong experience with SQL, Python, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Airflow.
• Experience with traditional and modern data warehousing tools.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL, and data architecture best practices.
