Medical Scribe - Remote

Overview

VirtueStaff are seeking an experienced Medical Scribe for our client. The ideal candidate must be capable of managing a high-volume workload while maintaining exceptional accuracy. This role is pivotal in providing high-level support to healthcare professionals by ensuring that accurate and detailed patient information is documented efficiently during patient visits.

In Short

• Manage a high-volume workload, processing and finalizing 80 to 100 charts per week
• Ensure all clinical documentation is complete, compliant, and completed within the required timeframe
• Assist healthcare professionals with administrative tasks to maintain workflow efficiency
• Document patient encounters with a high level of accuracy and detail
• Record comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to capture and summarize clinical information
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, including HIPAA, regarding patient privacy and record-keeping
• Perform quality checks on documentation to ensure completeness and clarity
• Assist in creating and managing follow-up care instructions and discharge summaries
• Stay current with medical advances and terminology relevant to your scribing tasks

Requirements

• Experience as a Medical Scribe or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new medical practices
