Billing Office Specialist - Remote

Overview

VPFW is hiring a full time team member for the business office phone group. The Billing Office Specialist will provide support to both our internal employees and our patients.

In Short

• Provides customer service for internal and patient billing questions.
• Works with patients to resolve claim issues.
• Accepts payments and works out payment plans for patients.
• Manages and resolves outstanding insurance claims based on payer assigned.
• Supports other areas of the business office as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Eligible to work a hybrid schedule after training.
• First 90 days located onsite for training purposes.
• Demonstrates proficiency in medical insurance and automated billing systems.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills – written and verbal.
• At least 2 years of previous medical billing experience.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Ability to recognize and resolve billing problems.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with high volume calls and patient volume.
• Good judgment in handling situations.
• Ability to perform work accurately and in a timely manner.
