Billing Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Billing Specialist will support the account management team by handling payroll deductions, premium reconciliations, and client billing, ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service.

In Short

• Support Senior Account Managers and Account Managers with file preparation and data entry.
• Reconcile payroll deductions with expected deductions on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Match and resolve discrepancies between carrier premium invoices and payroll deductions.
• Assist in the setup and implementation of consolidated billing.
• Maintain up-to-date enrollment and demographic data in the billing system.
• Provide timely customer service, resolving billing inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in business, accounting, or related field OR high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience in billing or claims processing.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Experience handling payroll deductions and benefit reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Must obtain a Health and Life license within 180 days of employment.
