Ensemble / Caché Developer - Remote

Overview

VetsEZ is seeking an experienced Ensemble / Caché Developer to support enterprise health data integration and processing for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role is responsible for developing and maintaining data interfaces and message flows using InterSystems Ensemble and Caché technologies in support of the VA's Electronic Health Record (EHR) modernization efforts.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain Ensemble productions for handling clinical and operational data flows.
• Build and enhance message routing logic and domain configurations using InterSystems tools.
• Develop data transformation routines using ObjectScript, XSLT, and HL7 parsing tools.
• Monitor Ensemble logs and queues to track messages and processing errors.
• Configure secure message transmission pipelines and implement business rules for health data validation.
• Create and load IRIS or SQL tables and refine Ensemble interfaces.
• Collaborate with system engineers to integrate Ensemble with various health platforms.
• Contribute to deployment planning and configuration management for production environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for interfaces and configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with InterSystems Ensemble and Caché, including ObjectScript and HL7/FHIR integration.
• Strong understanding of message-based integration patterns and healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience in complex, high-volume environments.
• Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot failures, and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with IRIS or Caché databases and SQL performance tuning.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
