Overview

The Help Desk Technician serves as the primary point of contact for IT support across Vertical Health Services’ skilled nursing facilities, providing timely troubleshooting and technical assistance while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

In Short

  • Provide IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Support both remote and onsite users.
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours support schedule.
  • Perform light hardware repairs and system upgrades.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 services and user account management.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Communicate professionally with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Maintain IT documentation and provide user training.
  • Travel between facilities as required.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of IT support experience.
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
