Overview

Vericast is seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel - Privacy to ensure compliance with legal and contractual privacy and data-protection requirements for diverse datasets, focusing on non-public personal information under the GLBA and related financial-services data.

In Short

• Analyze evolving privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
• Maintain privacy-related policies, standards, guidelines, and processes.
• Assist with data analysis for compliance with privacy regulations.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding data governance.
• Liaise with Vendor Security Risk Management for compliance.
• Support the Company’s data governance efforts.
• Manage the consumer privacy request process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Work closely with the Chief Privacy Officer and Deputy General Counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor Degree (Required).
• Active law license.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in privacy and data protection.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Collaborative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with excellent research skills.
• Organized and responsive with good follow-through.
• Fundamental project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
