Overview

We are looking for a Process Engineering Studies Engineer to join our Nuclear Treatment Solutions team, focusing on the development and optimization of nuclear waste treatment processes.

In Short

• Conduct feasibility studies and develop new treatment processes for solid and liquid nuclear waste.
• Perform literature reviews and write bibliographic summaries.
• Establish material and energy balances considering chemical reactions and phase transfers.
• Design and conduct laboratory tests and pilot trials.
• Prepare test reports and patent applications.
• Develop detailed preliminary projects for contaminated aqueous effluent treatment units.
• Size adsorption columns and filtration units.
• Oversee the design and implementation of equipment.
• Coordinate studies with project managers and other stakeholders.
• Occasional national and international travel may be required.

Requirements

• Master's degree in chemistry, process engineering, or related fields.
• Approximately 5 years of significant experience in the nuclear field.
• Strong writing, analytical, and synthesis skills.
• Knowledge of physicochemical treatment of effluents.
• Proficiency in scientific and technical calculations.
• Familiarity with analytical chemistry and experimental design.
• Proficient in computer tools (Word, Excel, Google Suite).
• English proficiency at B1 level.
