Overview

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will provide routine to complex field service support for analytical instruments at customer sites, predominantly within Northern Illinois and surrounding states, requiring a technical background and strong customer service skills.

In Short

  • Provide maintenance, verification, validation, repair, and calibration of TOC analytical instruments.
  • Plan and schedule customer services, including travel coordination.
  • Respond to customer calls and service requests.
  • Document service activities and maintain inventory.
  • Collaborate with sales for upsell opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and EHS policies.
  • Travel 70% of the time to customer sites.
  • Work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Perform tasks in various environments including labs and industrial sites.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Science, Technical, or Engineering discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in ultra-pure water applications or analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and analytical instruments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours.
  • General knowledge of electrical equipment and safety.
  • Manual dexterity and physical capability to perform job tasks.
