Software Engineer II (ADO) - Remote

Overview

This position will aid in developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting secure, scalable, and robust applications at Velera, a premier payments credit union service organization.

In Short

• Develop basic to semi-complex code for new and existing technology systems.
• Accountable for delivering technical documentation.
• Participate in peer code and design reviews.
• Build and maintain applications meeting industry regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC frameworks and audit/security requirements.
• Participate in Agile events to create a collaborative development environment.
• Gradually take on more complex development tasks.
• Ability to travel as needed for job responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Three years of professional experience in .Net and/or Java software development.
• One year of experience as a subject matter expert.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and standard SDLC processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and various DevOps tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Powershell and Bash.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to modify existing code and write semi-complex scripts.
• Proficiency in two or more modern programming languages.
• Contribute to technical specifications and design documentation.
