Assistant Resident Engineer - Rail and Transit - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team! You will work on the premier Infrastructure project in the US, contributing to the Gateway Program which aims to improve rail services and resiliency between Newark, New Jersey and New York City.

In Short

• Supervise daily construction activities on-site.
• Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing construction activities.
• Act as a liaison between contractors and project engineers.
• Enforce safety protocols and monitor compliance.
• Prepare detailed reports on construction progress.
• Maintain records of on-site activities.
• Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues.
• Work on heavy civil and excavation projects.
• Adapt to non-traditional working hours.
• Collaborate within a critical infrastructure team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
• Ten plus years of heavy civil experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• No security clearance is required.
