Underwriting Assistant - West Region - Remote

Overview

The Underwriting Assistant position at Vault involves supporting underwriting functions such as submission reviews, pricing analysis, and maintaining relationships with agents, all while working remotely in the West region.

In Short

• Perform general underwriting functions including submission reviews and pricing analysis.
• Analyze inspection reports and determine underwriting actions.
• Monitor reports for consistency and necessary changes.
• Communicate with outside sources for missing information.
• Establish relationships with agents and cross-sell to enhance accounts.
• Liaise with claims team regarding any claims activity.
• Develop knowledge of underwriting guidelines and principles.
• Manage new business submission and issuance process.
• Participate in agency web trainings.
• Build trust and reputation with brokers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in property & casual insurance industry.
• Proactive in building industry knowledge.
• Analytical with good decision-making skills.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Team oriented, adaptable, and organized.
