Senior Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

VAST is committed to leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and improve business outcomes. We are seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team that will enhance our capabilities by building analytics and dashboards that deliver actionable insights to our Operations team. The candidate will roll up their sleeves and work hands-on to build analytics and dashboard visualizations that deliver actionable insights. The role will also work with business stakeholders in Operations to develop solutions that improve VAST reporting systems, data quality, and processes.

In Short

• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Collect, clean, and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and analytics packages for business reviews.
• Build and maintain reports in Tableau.
• Create visualizations that represent data trends and performance metrics.
• Deliver analytics that answer key business questions.
• Ensure data accuracy through regular audits.
• Streamline data processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Act as a support resource for Operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Operations Analyst.
• Intermediate to Advanced experience with Tableau.
• Experience with Operations data sources and processes preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL preferred.
• Minimal travel required (approximately 10% or less annually).
