Portfolio Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

We are hiring at Aspire Software for a dynamic and experienced Portfolio Financial Controller to join our growing team in North America! The Portfolio Financial Controller will report to the Portfolio Head of Finance. This individual will coordinate and manage period-end close, budgeting and forecasting, statutory compliance and reporting, integrations of new businesses and ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of acquired companies, as well as lead projects impacting their accounting and provide guidance on the more complex accounting issues.

In Short

• Monitor and analyze performance strategies to identify areas of opportunity.
• Drive financial planning by analyzing performance and risks of the portfolio.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews highlighting results and strategic initiatives.
• Build and manage forecasts and track KPIs.
• Ensure financial health of the portfolio and positive cash flow.
• Lead and organize annual statutory audits.
• Develop a high-performing finance team in a decentralized environment.
• Support NetSuite rollout activities for Portfolio companies.
• Execute financial integration plans for new acquisitions.
• Prepare purchase price allocations and monitor deferred acquisition payment liabilities.

Requirements

• A qualified financial accountant (ACCA) with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, including team management.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and internal controls.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP is an asset.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
