Overview

The Start-up, Commissioning & Optimization (SCO) group in the Water Quality & Treatment (WQ&T) section is currently seeking a Data Scientist to support process optimization studies and other projects. Under general supervision, applies statistical analysis, machine learning, and data engineering techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex, large-scale datasets.

In Short

  • Identify and correct data quality issues to ensure clean datasets.
  • Collect, process, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
  • Apply statistical methods and predictive modeling.
  • Design automated tools for data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Develop and deploy algorithms for machine learning initiatives.
  • Utilize programming languages like Python, R, and SQL.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize data workflows.
  • Translate business needs into analytical tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable, production-ready models.
  • Communicate analysis results clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of treatment processes and water quality parameters.
  • Experience analyzing water quality and improving monitoring strategies.
  • Ability to develop predictive models for process improvement.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple platforms.
  • Strong project management abilities.
