Part-Time Translator (English to Mandarin) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mandarin Translator to join our dynamic remote team. This role is crucial for facilitating seamless communication and understanding with our Chinese-speaking clients and partners, ensuring cultural appropriateness and precision across all interactions and materials.

In Short

• Accurately translate contracts and various other business documents from English to Mandarin and vice versa.
• Provide real-time communication support during live calls, video conferences, and virtual meetings.
• Translate emails, chat messages, and other digital communications between English-speaking teams and Chinese clients.
• Edit and proofread all translated content for grammar, syntax, style, and cultural nuances.
• Act as a cultural liaison to navigate nuances in communication and business practices.
• Support other ad-hoc translation tasks as required.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Proven experience in professional translation of diverse content types.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Mandarin-speaking cultural norms and business etiquette.
