Overview

Upstream Rehabilitation is looking for a Remote Patient Account Specialist to join our team, providing assistance to patients with billing, insurance, and other inquiries in a supportive environment.

In Short

  • Answer inbound patient calls in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Assist with billing questions and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Process payments and set up payment plans.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve billing concerns.
  • Build rapport by being courteous and friendly.
  • Maintain professional relationships representing the clinic and physician positively.
  • Refer complex calls to the team lead or manager.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong active listening and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task.
  • Must have a quiet, distraction-free workspace that meets HIPAA standards.
  • High-volume call center experience and/or medical billing experience is a plus.
  • Healthcare industry experience is desirable.
