The Financial Clearance Specialist is responsible for processing patient, insurance, and financial clearance aspects for appointments, ensuring proper validation and authorization of insurance and benefits.

• Responsible for financial clearance for scheduled and non-scheduled appointments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or related fields.
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate analytical skills for problem-solving.
• Basic knowledge of UB04 and EOB.
• Some knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding.
• Dependability and critical thinking abilities.
• Knowledge of hospital billing operations preferred.
