Overview

The Acute Hospital Outpatient Compliance Auditor is responsible for auditing hospital outpatient encounters to ensure appropriate reimbursement and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Formal training in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4.
• Minimum of two years coding experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital.
• Certification such as CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in basic medical terminology.
• Computer proficiency and typing ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
