Māori Strategy Support Advisor - Remote

Overview

The Māori Strategy Support Advisor will work with the Co-Director Māori and Leadership Team to promote heart health equity for Māori in Aotearoa New Zealand through community engagement and outreach initiatives.

In Short

• Part-time (0.8 FTE - 30 hours/week) fixed-term role until 31 December 2028.
• Support the Māori Leadership Team in outreach and education activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with Māori stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate key Māori events.
• Manage logistics for Māori events and programs.
• Support the Kura Raumati research program.
• Maintain relationships with scholarship recipients.
• Remote working options available for those outside Auckland.
• Salary range: $77,100 - $88,900 per annum (pro rata).

Requirements

• Experience working with Māori communities and stakeholders.
• Understanding of equity issues in New Zealand.
• Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
• Awareness of tikanga and te reo Māori.
• Experience in project management and event planning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Time management skills.
• Basic understanding of budgets.
