Overview

The Medical Assistant (MA) at the Rheumatology Clinic works under the direct supervision of the clinic physician, assisting in the examination and treatment of patients, while also performing administrative tasks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED with completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
• Preferred: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience in an ambulatory care setting.
• BLS (CPR) Certification required.
• Ability to perform point of care testing.
• Skills in phlebotomy and preparing specimens for laboratory processing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
