Overview

The APRN/PA will work as part of the UAMS Hospitalist Care Team, collaborating with physicians and residents to provide comprehensive care to inpatient patients.

In Short

  • Work collaboratively with physicians and residents.
  • Ensure continuity of care for inpatient patients.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare treatments.
  • Conduct daily rounds and monitor patient progress.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Engage in service line meetings and policy development.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain competencies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care of patients.
  • Work autonomously and as a health care resource.
  • Comply with CDC Universal Precautions.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant.
  • APRN License or PA Licensure.
  • 2 years of nursing or PA experience.
  • Ability to operate nursing equipment.
  • Normal communication and sensory requirements.
  • Preferred: Nursing experience in inpatient settings.
  • Preferred: Prescriptive authority and DEA license.
