Project Controller - Remote

Overview

The Project Controller will manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and compliance for federal government contracts while providing key financial insights to program leadership.

• Manage financial planning and budgeting for government contracts.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations (FAR, DCAA, GSA).
• Oversee project-based financial reporting and analysis.
• Prepare and submit invoices in compliance with contract terms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal and HR.
• Optimize financial systems for efficiency and compliance.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to leadership.
• Support government audits and invoice reconciliations.
• Track labor costs and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
• Generate financial reports for senior leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years in project control, finance, or accounting.
• Experience in federal government contracting.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with government contracts preferred.
