Auto Appraiser - Remote - Southeast US

Overview

This role will be serving our members located in the NC, SC, GA and FL areas. As a dedicated Auto Appraiser, you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation, evaluation, and appraisal of vehicle damage claims to ensure estimate accuracy in compliance with state laws and regulations.

In Short

• Evaluate and appraise auto physical damage claims.
• Investigate claim damages and communicate with insured and third parties.
• Maintain accurate claim file documentation.
• Review claims for fraud indicators.
• Provide policyholders with information regarding coverage and claims process.
• Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations.
• Work on various types of claims, including complex ones.
• Ensure compliance with risk and compliance policies.
• Responsible for desk management and timely follow-ups.
• May require face-to-face interactions with members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of auto appraising experience.
• Knowledge of P&C insurance policy contracts.
• Working knowledge of estimating losses using CCC or similar platforms.
• Must obtain insurance adjuster license within 90 days.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle within assigned territory.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Meet USAA safe driving requirements.
• At least 2 years of insurance auto physical damage appraiser experience preferred.
• Dynamic knowledge of auto parts distribution and claim appraisal processes.
