Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist at Underdog, you will lead marketing measurement models and analytics frameworks to optimize user acquisition performance in a rapidly growing sports company.

In Short

• Own the Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) process, including design and iteration.
• Translate MMM insights into budget recommendations and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with Growth, Finance, and Data Engineering teams.
• Design and analyze experiments to assess marketing campaign impacts.
• Build models for user acquisition, attribution, and lifetime value.
• Develop tools for marketing planning and spend simulation.
• Automate campaign reporting and diagnostics.
• Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Statistics, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics focused on marketing.
• Experience with Marketing Mix Models or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Bayesian modeling and probabilistic programming.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Strong understanding of experimentation design and causal inference.
• Experience with cloud tools like AWS or GCP.
• Ability to influence partners with data-driven recommendations.
